Anonymous Festival
Hi readers, it’s Emily and Kerry here. This week it’s me, Kerry talking about a sunny Bank Holiday in August when I decided to visit the Anonymous Festival in Dorchester and see what all the excitement was about.
As soon as we arrived, there was a real hustle and bustle around the place. The festival was packed with people and lots of children enjoying themselves and getting involved in all the different activities.
There was live music throughout the day. I especially like seeing all the young performers, who were playing music from pop and indie to disco. It was also great to see so many free family activities. Children were having a go on the bungee trampolines, learning circus skills, getting creative at craft workshops and enjoying photo booth and make-up sessions. It was good to see stalls run by children too, all raising money for different charities and activities. I bought myself a pretty bracelet from a lovely girl, who was doing a roaring trade.
Naturally there was plenty to eat and drink too. We sat down and I had my first ever bubble tea, which was an experience - then followed it almost immediately with a tasty ice cream. Well, why not?!
One of the best things about the Anonymous Festival is that it’s organised by Dorchester Town Council and free to attend. All the children’s activities are free too, which makes it a brilliant day out for families without having to spend lots of money.
We thoroughly enjoyed our day, and bumped into a few friends while we were there, which made it even more special.
I’ll definitely return next year, and I hope to see some of you there too. In the meantime everyone, have a good week!
