Hi readers, it’s Kerry and William here, writing over the next two weeks as we say a huge thank you to Fundraising Friends for all their support over the last year to People First Dorset.
Fundraising Friends are a group of friends who raise money for charities. They are based in Dorchester and led by Barry and Debbie White, along with some other fabulous people.
Over the last year they have raised funds, through all sorts of fundraising events, for People First Dorset. We are so pleased they chose us and hugely grateful for all their time and hard work. It really is appreciated by everyone at People First Dorset, especially us members.
We both wanted to say another big thank you, to all at Fundraising Friends for such an enjoyable evening last night in Avenue Restaurant at Weymouth College, where the two of us were invited to the Presentation Evening. We were treated to a delicious three course meal and given a cheque for the charity. Read more next week about our evening there, as we wanted to share with you how nice it was.
As for today, we are both heading off in a bit to Borough Gardens for a picnic with the Dorchester Action Group members and other friends, a welcome opportunity to catch up with each other over the weekend. We are looking forward to it, but neither of us have anything prepared to eat, so we better crack on and put something together! We hope it will stay sunny so we can enjoy the fresh air and the spring flowers in the garden, or if not the friendly people at the Junction Pub have said we can go in there.
We will maybe tell you about that too, but until then, we hope you all have a lovely week.
