Never a dull moment…

Hi readers, Emily and Kerry here. Another busy week for us, never a dull moment, and more to share with you!

First, we said goodbye to our lovely colleague Zoe. Her leaving do was a mix of feelings - happy for her in her new role, but sad to see her go. Then, straight off to see Sally, a fabulous former PFD colleague.

Over tasty pizzas we caught up with her, and shared our thoughts about what matters to us in social care services. It’s for an article she’s writing, to go in the new magazine the CQC are publishing. It’s exciting to be featuring in this, and we’ve been reviewing it this weekend.

I, Emily, also went to meet Dorset psychologists at their conference this week, to tell them about our work at PFD. They were so welcoming and friendly, and I hope we’ll get more chances to see them again.

And oh…there’s this rumour spreading about Emily. Apparently, she cooked for her boyfriend, Chris, last week. All was going well, until the windows had to be suddenly opened. Emily has no idea I, Kerry, know or how the story’s spread. The biggest shock is how Emily, a fabulous cook, manage to burn Chris’s dinner? Shhh though, am sharing with you in confidence though, so don’t tell anyone!

Finally, is it really December today?!  We both feel there’s already so much pressure everywhere to buy presents, and have a perfect Christmas. Have you stopped to think about the Nativity, why we celebrate Christmas? It’s easy to forget isn’t it. For us, it’s an important time to remember people who struggle this time of year, so let’s all remember to be kind to everyone.

Out of room, so that’s it folks. Take care, see you next week.
