A perfect cruise

Hi readers, it’s Kerry and Emily here, and this week it’s me, Emily, telling you all about my Mediterranean cruise holiday that I’ve just got back from.

As, on Saturday 15 August, I packed my case full of dresses and outfits. It was a tight squeeze, but worth it, as the next day, I set sail from Southampton for a two-week cruise with my boyfriend Chris and his parents.

We boarded the ship at lunchtime and spent some time exploring the decks, before having lunch and celebrating the start of our holiday with a glass of sparkling elderflower.

Our cabin was lovely and spacious, with a balcony where we could sit out and enjoy the views. Our housekeeper, John, looked after us brilliantly throughout the holiday.

One of the best things about a cruise is waking up somewhere new. Each day we arrived at a different port and went ashore to explore. We wandered around different towns and, of course, stopped for coffee and pastries along the way!

There was plenty of food on board too, from a huge buffet to restaurants where we could dress up and enjoy a special three-course dinner.

There was always something happening on the ship, including quizzes, live music, theatre shows and magicians. When we wanted some peace and quiet, our favourite place was the adults-only pool and bar on Deck 18. It was lovely relaxing by the pool and Jacuzzi.

I loved being able to explore somewhere new and then come back to everything happening on the ship. You could go ashore and have an adventure of simply stay on board and unwind. In all, it was a brilliant two weeks and it really is the perfect break.
