Another odd week...

Hello, it’s Kerry here. This week has been a bit strange, if I’m honest. There’s been a lot going on and no chance to meet Emily and do a column.
One big thing is that I’ve had a change in my medication. It was meant to help with the pain I get because of my cerebral palsy. But it made me feel completely out of it. I can hardly remember one day at all – it’s like it just disappeared. I vaguely remember an online meeting about a research opportunity. They must have wondered what planet I was on. Apparently, I’d also overdone my right eye make-up, so it looked like I’d got a black eye. Laura was straight on the phone to check I was ok! All a bit scary.
Luckily, I’ve got people around me, who helped, and I came off that medication. But even now, although I’m starting to feel a bit more like myself again, I still feel like I’ve got a bit of a medication-hangover.
Something good this week is the government changing its mind a bit about welfare, a small step in the right direction. Me and the MAKE team have written to the government, telling them what we think and how we can help improve things for disabled people like us.
Also, it’s been hot again, and things can feel harder when it’s so warm.
Even though it’s been a funny, up-and-down kind of week, I’ve had brilliant people around me. I want to say a big thank you to everyone who’s helped me. You’ve made a big difference.
I’d love to know – what’s been going on in your week? Has it been a good one, or a hard one? Thanks for reading and see you next week.

It’s inspiring to read how everyone is staying positive through such unusual times. Sharing these experiences really helps build a sense of community. For students balancing studies with life’s challenges, finding Cheap law assignment Manchester services can ease academic pressure. Keep up the great work and support.
