Hi readers, Emily, Kerry and William, catching up online, thinking about the entertainment we love this time of year.
With this windy weather, doesn’t it feel just perfect to curl up in front a good film. Our favourites include the Holiday, Mary Poppins, Love Actually, The Wizard of Oz, Oliver Twist and of course Elf!
We are looking forward to the new Wallace and Gromit film, showing on Christmas Day evening. That is definitely one to watch with chicken (and salad cream) or leftover turkey sandwiches (crusts cut off) with hot chocolate, while wearing fluffy pyjamas. Anyone relate?
There’s something about Christmas which makes us feel cosy. Things like those Christmas songs on the radio, playing silly games on Christmas Day, sparkly decorations all around town, putting up our Christmas trees and decorations at home, Christmas carol services and of course Christmas Day itself.
One of our favourite games is the one where someone gets a present but no-one knows what it is, so it’s ‘guess what the present is’ game. Or the present behind the Christmas tree with no label. No-one knows who it’s for, so someone has to open it, then it’s time to play guess who was supposed to receive it, and who it was from!’
What made me, Kerry, smile this week, was watching someone try and put a Christmas tree in their car. They had help but it still took them about half an hour to get the whole tree in!
We’ve run out of room to update you on taking Not Lost books into County Hall to promote, seeing it in the window of Waterstones (thank you to them), my (Kerry’s) trip to London and much more. Luckily we meet later this week, so tune in next week and get our latest updates!
