Holidays

Hi readers, it’s Emily and Kerry here, and this week it’s me, Emily sharing with you about finally being able to take a well-earned moment to relax after what has felt like an endlessly busy school term!

I can barely believe it, six whole weeks of freedom are stretching out ahead of me!

There’s something lovely about having no fixed agenda at all. While I do have some things planned, some days I think I’ll simply pull up a chair in the garden, sit back, and watch the world go by. Maybe I will lose myself in some craft projects I’ve been looking forward to trying. On other days, I might head out for a gentle wander along the seafront in Weymouth, and enjoy the fresh sea air.

The biggest highlight of my summer is still to come. I’m off on a two-week cruise around Spain and France, travelling with my boyfriend Chris and his parents. I’ve never been on a cruise before so don’t really know quite what to expect, but I’m brimming with excitement to go and find out, and will let you know how it goes when I get back!

There are quite a few other things to look forward to. One of these is a fun birthday celebration – it’s a party at my house with a paddling pool, lots of good food and drink, plus plenty of music to keep everyone smiling. It’s important to have things to get excited about, don’t you think!

I hope you are all having a wonderful summer, and are going to enjoy the rest of it, whatever you get up to. Next week I’m going to tell you about a spring, or rather, summer clean I’ve had recently too!
