Spring Clean

Hi readers, Emily and Kerry here, with me, Emily, as promised, talking about cleaning!
Today I’ve got an important announcement – the Big Cleaning Day is almost here. Yes, I know what some of you are thinking. Cleaning isn't everyone's favourite job, but it must be done, and I've decided the best way to tackle it - is to make it fun.
My support staff and I are getting everything ready. We've found our oldest, comfiest clothes, ones we don't mind getting dusty, and we've put together a brilliant playlist. There'll be singing, dancing and laughing while we work, so expect the neighbours will wonder what all the noise is about!
This is not any quick tidy. We'll be moving the bed, the blanket box and shifting furniture so we can reach all those hidden places where dust likes to hide. Every surface is getting dusted, every inch of floor swept and carpet hoovered - until they look almost new again.
My teddies won't be forgotten either. They'll enjoy a gentle dust to stay clean and fluffy. We'll fold clothes, tidy shelves and make the whole house look neat and organised.
The bathroom will receive the full treatment too. I plan for it to sparkle by the time we've finished, and the whole downstairs will feel fresh and welcoming.
There is one important rule. Halfway through we will stop for a break - a cold drink and good food. Cleaning is hard work, and we’ll need a rest to recharge our batteries, before carrying on.
I'm really looking forward to standing back at the end of the day to see how much we've achieved, as it’s so satisfying when the house feels clean and tidy.
Do you have any favourite cleaning tips? Ironically, next week Kerry is talking about rubbish!
