Emily’s birthday

Emily’s birthday

Hey readers, it’s Emily, Kerry and William here, talking about Emily’s recent birthday. I, Emily, wanted a party, however that meant I couldn’t invite Kerry, as my home isn’t wheelchair friendly.

So Kerry, together with my housemates and William, went to Zizzi for supper the night before. I booked the table ahead, and we had lots of space, which was great.

After tasty drinks (Debbie especially enjoyed her passionfruit cocktail as she had two of them) we had delicious food. Me and William had mushroom risotto which looked amazing. It came with a metal cover with a skewer of chicken and tomatoes, then a wedge of lemon hanging over it.

Best of all was the company, everyone laughing and joking. We bumped into some friends too, Holly and Liz. That was fab, as we’d not seen them for a while.

The only downside was paying, mainly because Zizzi couldn’t break down our individual costs (we all paid for ourselves), and it wasn’t exactly easy working it out. After we paid, there was still money owing, so I paid the difference. That got us talking about tips. More on that in another column!

The following day, Saturday, my birthday, I went to Mum’s in the morning, to see her and some friends, who gave me presents. My brother came next with more gifts, then we had a fabulous lemon curd cake that Mum made.

At 3pm it was party time! Lots of friends came and we had so much fun. Especially watching my friend Sophie on the bubble machine! It was a laugh, listening to music on the Alexa too (and no, we didn’t ask Alexa to break wind or burp!). After pizza and party food (some of it healthy) it was time to relax after a fabulous and full day!
